Giving it all up for failure or for fame,
surrendering it just for a pretty space on a frame.
The lack of Honour bound in deeds forgotten
will still hunt you, even if its fruits are rotten.
It’s not uncommon to judge and call one lame
when his actions lead nowhere and are all the same,
but when good intentions lead to acts misbegotten
all lameness is left behind and one’s reputation trodden.
We must think and plan before we act,
not fast and quick but far ahead
to not become another unvaluable dead,
but sometimes under pressure we react
by impulse, out of animal instinct in fact,
living and taking our chances instead.
